Philip D. Segal is President & Executive Producer of Original Productions, a FremantleMedia company.  Segal has operating responsibility for the company’s business, creative, development and production divisions. In 2011 alone, Segal supervised 240 hours of programming, including  A&E’s ratings hits “Storage Wars” and “Storage Wars: Texas”, prime-time Emmy® and PGA (Producer’s Guild of America) award winning “Deadliest Catch” on Discovery and History’s top rated Emmy® nominated “Ice Road Truckers”.  Additional series under Segal’s purview include A&E’s “American Hoggers”;  “Wild Justice”, “America’s Lost Treasures” and “Are You Tougher Than A Boy Scout?” for the National Geographic Channel; “Ax Men” and “IRT: Deadliest Roads” for History; IFC’s  “Whisker Wars”; “Black Gold” on truTV and “Bering Sea Gold” and “Bering Sea Gold: Under the Ice” for Discovery.  Prior to joining Original Productions, Segal spent three years as Executive Vice President of Bunim-Murray Productions and as Senior Vice President of Programming and Production for Tribune Entertainment. From 1990 to 1996, Segal was Executive Vice President of Amblin Television at Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. Before joining Amblin, Segal was a programming executive at ABC Television.
