Lilibet Foster is an Academy Award® Nominated filmmaker and multiple award winning director, producer and writer of feature documentaries, television programs and integrated brand campaigns. She earned her Oscar® Nomination for producing feature documentary, "Speaking in Strings,” her previous film, “Soul in the Hole,” won the Independent Spirit®: Truer Than Fiction Award and feature documentary “Brotherhood: Life in the FDNY” premiered to critical acclaim at the Tribeca Film Festival before being released internationally. Her work includes directing and producing shows for major broadcasters including HBO, Discovery, ESPN, O2 and A&E, segments for Stand Up To Cancer’s live television show, simulcast on ABC, CBS, NBC and directing campaigns for brands such as Sony, Apple and Nike, represented by @radical.media. Additional awards her work has earned her include, a Cine Golden Eagle; an International Documentary Association (IDA) Nomination; the Honorary Webby and iFilms Best of the Net Awards; the Newport and Paramount Studio’s WIN Film Festival Awards; selection in competition at the Sundance Film Festivals; and Top Film of the Year nods by “Premiere” and “Village Voice.” She just finished conducting one of the most successful digital crowd funding campaigns for a documentary on Kickstarter, for her newest film “Be Here Now: The Andy Whitfield Story,” which is currently in production. She is from the Virgin Islands and is a principal of her production company, Asphalt Films Entertainment, based in New York City.
