Entertainment Attorney

Larry Verbit has over thirty years of management and legal experience in the entertainment industry and a primary focus of his practice is reality television production. He serves as counsel for numerous reality programs, including Bravo’s “Around the World in 80 Plates.” Included among his many reality clients are: One Three Media (a Hearst | Mark Burnett company), 3 Doors Productions (a FremantleMedia Company), Juma Entertainment, Magical Elves, Mark Phillips Philms and Telephision, the UK’s Mentorn and Pioneer Film and Television Productions, Populus Brands, Trium Entertainment and World of Wonder Productions. He also works on scripted projects having recently completed work on six television movies and features.  Larry has an MFA degree in Theatre Administration from Florida State University, was a professional stage manager and served as the chief administrative officer of several nationally recognized performing arts centers and theatre companies where he produced plays and concerts.  After earning his law degree, Larry held in-house executive positions at publicly held Westwood One, Inc. and as General Counsel for Landmark Entertainment Group. He subsequently joined the Beverly Hills based firm Heenan Blaikie (an affiliate of Heenan Blaikie, Canada). In August, 2003 he opened his own boutique law practice where he works with several affiliate counsel.  Larry’s article on Moral Rights won two national awards and he as authored articles that have appeared in law reviews and industry publications.
