Jon Cody is one of the nation’s top digital and traditional media experts, with over a decade of experience defining the United States broadband Internet access and video industries in senior operational, strategic, and government roles. Currently Principal at Cody Consulting Group, Cody spent the last six years at News Corporation. Most recently, Cody ran Fox Digital Media, the corporate digital unit of Fox Networks Group. Previously at News Corp, Cody served as the lead Fox operational executive and Launch GM on the Hulu launch team and incubated and launched several digital businesses and products for Fox Entertainment Group. Prior to his time at News Corporation, Cody served as a senior advisor to Federal Communications Commission Chairman, Michael K. Powell. Cody was the primary architect of the first national broadband plan for the United States, which serves as the policy and legal framework governing the broadband Internet access industry today. Additionally, Cody advised Chairman Powell on the Digital Television Transition, media ownership, spectrum allocation, and homeland security policies.
