Jennifer McGovern is Director of Development and Production for Oxygen Media, a position she has held since August 2010. In this role, she is responsible for developing and executive producing some of the network’s original programming, including reality competition series and docu-series such as “The Glee Project” and “I’m Having Their Baby.” Based in New York, McGovern reports directly to Cori Abraham, SVP Development, Oxygen Media.
Before joining Oxygen, McGovern was Manager of Alternative Series at TLC, where she developed and produced various shows including “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” “Brace for Impact: The Chesley B Sullenberger Story” and “Police Women of Broward County.” Prior to that, she served as Manager of Development at Fox Television Studios, overseeing high profile development slates and assisting with production and development on series like “Talkshow with Spike Feresten.” McGovern started her career in the NBC Page Program in Los Angeles where she worked with “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “The Weakest Link.”
McGovern graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in Communication and Psychology. She currently resides in New York City.
