With more than 80 films to his credit, Harrison has directed documentaries and dramatic films for nearly every broadcast and cable network, often dealing with . history, biography and the arts. Amongst his credits are THE LOST KENNEDY HOME MOVIES (History, 2011), THE INDOMITABLE TEDDY ROOSEVELT (ABC; Emmy Nominee), THEY CAME TO PLAY (PBS), FUTURE FLIGHT (Discovery), OBSESSED WITH VERTIGO (AMC), BENNY CARTER: SYMPHONY IN RIFFS (A&E) and the Native American-themed feature film, THE LEGEND OF TWO-PATH. He has created tributes for seven ACADEMY AWARDS telecasts, as well as segments for the SAG Awards, AFI Life Achievement Awards, the EMMY AWARDS, DGA Awards and the American Society of Cinematographers. He is a past president of the International Documentary Association, and he has served on media arts panels for the NEH and the Rockefeller Foundation. In 2009 he traveled to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan for the U.S. State Department. Harrison is a director member of the Directors Guild of America.
