The Hochberg Ebersol Company (THE Company)
Co-Founder

Charlie Ebersol is the Co-Founder of The Hochberg Ebersol Company (THE Company), a reality and scripted television production studio that specializes in unscripted, documentary and competition formats, as well as new media content and branded entertainment. Ebersol founded THE Company with Justin Hochberg in 2010.  THE Company is already making headlines as it launches two top cable networks into reality programming for the first time.  Ebersol is executive producing USA’s first reality series “The Moment” (airing this fall) and the TNT reality show "The Great Escape," which Ebersol co-created and is producing with Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Bertram van Munster. The Hollywood Reporter recently recognized THE Company’s rapid success rate by including Ebersol and Hochberg on their 2012 Reality Power List.  Ebersol has executive produced both film and television projects across a variety of top-tier networks, including HBO, ESPN, NBC, USA, TNT and many others. He recently teamed up with the NFL to produce the one-hour USA documentary “NFL Characters Unite,”  and also co-created and executive produced “Off the Grid: Million Dollar Manhunt,” an action-adventure special for History. Many of the undercover filmmaking techniques utilized in “Off the Grid” were made possible by employing techniques perfected in a previous show Ebersol produced, “The Wanted,” which aired on NBC and followed a former Navy Seal, a former Green Beret and an investigative journalist as they tracked down internationally known terrorists (2009).  Prior to launching THE Company, Ebersol headed production on numerous successful documentary films. In 2007, he produced the documentary “Don’t Look Down,” which followed the life of Olympic snowboarder Shaun White following his Gold Medal win. He then produced “Tradition Never Graduates,” the story of the Notre Dame Football team and its fans, in 2008.
