Brent Montgomery is founder and owner of Leftfield Pictures, in charge of all of Leftfield's programming, development and operations. Brent executive produces History Channel’s breakout series Pawn Stars, which premiered in 2009. In less than three years, nearly 300 episodes of the smash-hit series have been commissioned by History. The show has consistently broken ratings records and, in 2011, drove History to be the #1 cable network across all key metrics, including total viewers, Adults 25-54, and Adults 18-49. In 2011, Pawn Stars also delivered History its #1 series telecast of all time. Pawn Stars spawned its first spin-off series, Cajun Pawn Stars, which premiered in January 2012 to record numbers and is currently airing its second season. With the Pawn Stars franchise, Montgomery and Leftfield Pictures have helped define and drive the “hidden treasures” genre of television. In addition to Pawn Stars and Cajun Pawn Stars, Leftfield also produces for History the hit series American Restoration, which premiered its third season in June 2012. The company also has two other yet-to-be-announced series for History set to premiere before the end of the year. Leftfield has also created an “odd” franchise for Science, with its breakout show Oddities. Currently in its third season, Oddities has spawned two spin-offs: Oddities: San Francsico, which premiered in June 2012, and Odd Folks Home, which also will air in 2012. The company also produces Monster In-Laws for A&E, Truck Stop USA for Travel Channel, and the series Ball Boys for ABC, a “Hidden Treasures” show set in the competitive world of sports memorabilia. Leftfield, in conjunction with Lance Bass, recently announced a deal for a new series for Lifetime, Celebrity Yard Sale. The project will follow celebrities as they go through their homes, auctioning off items and memorabilia for charity. Currently, Leftfield has numerous series in development for History, A&E, Lifetime, ABC, Bravo, Food Network, Tru, Syfy, Nat Geo, and Speed.
