Executive Producer of Program Development and National Productions

Brenda Brkusic is an Emmy Award-winning television producer and the Executive Producer of Program Development and National Productions for PBS SoCaL. She joined PBS SoCaL (then KOCE) in 2006 as a producer for their Emmy Award-winning nightly news program and went on to spearhead and manage PBS SoCaL's digital OC Channel (PBS OC), which has been called "the next generation of PBS" by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and received CPB's My Source Education Innovation Award. 

Brenda's dedication to program development has resulted in the creation of thousands of new programs and series for PBS SoCaL. Some of her recent credits include the award-winning film Freedom from Despair, which was presented to members of the European Parliament in Brussels, and for which she was honored on the Congressional Record of the US House of Representatives for her work promoting human rights, and the Emmy award-winning film Bloody Thursday which aired on PBS stations nationally. Brenda currently has numerous programs and series in development including the film Mia Slavenska: A Dancer's Odyssey, starring Blythe Danner.
