Vice President, Talent Development and Casting

Blythe Asher joined E! as Vice President, Talent Development and Casting in June 2009. Blythe is charged with leading the talent activities for E!, which include developing talent-driven projects, casting pilots, series and specials, and over seeing talent on E! News, E! Specials, Live From The Red Carpet and other E! franchises.  In addition, she acts as a liaison with the outside representative community and forges and maintains relationships with talent. Blythe is responsible for putting Joan Rivers, Kelly Osbourne, George Kotsiopolous and Guiliana Rancic together on the hit weekly series “Fashion Police”, as well as developing the series’ “Married To Jonas”, “Married to Rock”, “Opening Act”, and “The Dance Scene”.  Prior to joining E!, Blythe served as the Vice President of Casting and Talent Development at MTV, overseeing the casting of hit shows “Wild N Out”, “America’s Best Dance Crew”, and “Punk’d”, overseeing talent development on “The Hills”, “Taking The Stage”, and “A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila”. She was instrumental in the casting of MTV’s first foray into scripted,  and oversaw the casting of “The Hard Times of RJ Berger”, “The American Mall”, and “Kaya”  Before MTV, Blythe was a feature film casting director, casting “Anchorman”, “Dodgeball” ,“Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind”, “Zoolander”, “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me & Goldmember”, “Starsky & Hutch”, and “Sweet Home Alabama”. Blythe began her career as an agent trainee at the highly prestigious William Morris Agency.
